Falcons, Parrots & other feathered friends

When little birds travel in big planes.

Owners of falcons and parrots are generally themselves specialists in keeping their animals in a species-appropriate manner. Nevertheless, there is also a need for clarification when it comes to long journeys with several hours of flight time and a stay in the respective animal centres. These animals are also sensitive and sometimes very delicate contemporaries. They do not like to come into contact with other travelling animals without being asked, even if they are travelling in individual boxes they can sense their presence. And they quickly become agitated when they realise that they are restricted in their freedom for the duration of the journey. The transport boxes required vary greatly depending on the species and size of the feathered friends and we use transport boxes specially designed for each bird and journey.

There are also regulations and empirical values for light access. There are many details to consider, rules to follow and agreements to be made with the airlines.
